Subject: Township of Algonquin Highlands COVID-19 Update - Opening of Municipal Facilities
The Township of Algonquin Highlands remains under a declared State of Emergency.
The Algonquin Highlands Emergency Control Group continues its assessment of the continually-evolving COVID-19 pandemic situation and its potential effects on Algonquin Highlands.
This update includes information regarding the opening of certain Municipal facilities.
New Information:
As of Monday, July 19, 2021 the following municipal facilities will open to the public with limited numbers in the facilities:
- Township Office – 1123 North Shore Road
- Trails Office – 20130 Hwy. 35
- Airport Terminal Building – 1168 Stanhope Airport Road
In accordance with Provincial regulations, face masks will be mandatory and physical distancing of 2m will be required while inside all facilities.
Although these facilities will be opening to the public, staff is strongly encouraging appointments continue to be made, with staff, if it is absolutely necessary for an in person meeting.
All Recreation Centres will remain closed until further notice.
