Subject: COVID 19 Update - Recreation Facilities
The Township of Algonquin Highlands
The Algonquin Highlands Emergency Control Group continues to meet to continue its assessment of the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 pandemic situation and its potential effects on Algonquin Highlands.
Update includes information on Township Recreation Centres.
NEW INFORMATION
1. Recreation Facilities
On August 14, 2020 the Province of Ontario released further guidelines supporting the reopening of gyms and recreation centres. Upon careful consideration, it has been determined that all recreation centres will remain closed until further notice, with the exception of access of public computers at the Dorset Recreation Centre which can continue to be booked by appointment.
This will affect the following facilities:
- Dorset Recreation Centre
- Stanhope Firefighters Community Hall
- Oxtongue Lake Community Centre
