Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Stanhope Heritage Day has been cancelled for 2021.
Stanhope Heritage Day - a celebration of heritage trades, crafts and arts.
Stanhope Heritage Day is an annual event held on the third Saturday of July at the Stanhope Museum Grounds at 1123 North Shore Road, Algonquin Highlands.
Celebrate our heritage with local folks demonstrating historic arts, crafts and trades such as maple syrup making, pottery, tatting, basketry, spinning, weaving, wood carving and rug hooking. See displays of antique cameras, vintage cars, quilts, and antique rifles. Learn local history from the genealogy society and the portable library. Take a tour of the Stanhope Museum and see the fabulous displays of days past.
There are lots of fun filled activities for the kids, too. They can meet farm animals, take part in traditional games and create some heritage crafts to take home. Speaking of Wildlife presents a variety of creatures native to Ontario. A show not to be missed!
There's live music and food and a Butter Tart contest!
